GP Referrals

Nova Health Co is happy to see patients with endometriosis and/or persistent pelvic pain. Patients can self-refer, or can be referred in by their GP.

Nova Health Co is happy to see patients who have an existing relationship with their own GP.

Information for GPs

Where patients have an existing GP relationship:

  • All patients will be seen initially for a one hour assessment with a specialist nurse.
  • One of the doctors will then undertake a comprehensive review.
  • We will write to the GP with a summary of that visit.
  • We usually suggest endometriosis patients have a care plan completed by their GP, and we can provide suggestions of who to include in the patient’s team.
  • We would love to include the patient’s usual GP in one of the monthly multi-disciplinary case conferences.
  • We will aim to see the patient as required for endometriosis/pelvic pain matters over a 12 month period and then hope to hand back care at the end of this time.
